When visiting Keren Or you will find an environment unlike any other in the world. It is a magical place where trained, dedicated and caring teachers and therapists, working with highly specialized equipment and facilities, can make miracles happen for blind multi-disabled children and young adults.

Keren Or is Israel's only residential center specializing in the care and treatment of children who are blind or have very low vision and who are afflicted with other serious mental or physical disabilities. Our state-of-the-art facilities and methods allow each of our 100 students to reach for their own personal stars - to learn, to grow and to develop to his or her own potential

Until recently, Keren Or students ranged from infants to age 20. A few years ago we instituted an innovative group home project for our 21 year-old graduates. Those who are able now live semi-independently and work in sheltered environments, yet maintain their connection to Keren Or and use our therapeutic and specialized recreational facilities regularly.
